Parent Coaching: Practical Support for Busy Families

If you're feeling overwhelmed by power struggles, tantrums, or daily challenges, but don't feel  quite ready for therapy — or you're stuck on a long waitlist — you've come to the right place! By leveraging the principles of behavior parent training, my coaching offers practical strategies to help you keep both yourself and your child regulated, reducing conflict and creating a calmer, more connected home environment.

My journey into ADHD parent coaching started with my own diagnosis as an adult—one of those lightbulb moments where my whole life finally made sense. Not long after, one of my children was also diagnosed with ADHD, and I did what so many of us ADHDers do—I hyperfocused. I devoured every resource I could find, determined to understand these amazing, complex brains and how best to support them.

But knowledge alone wasn’t enough. Parenting remained incredibly challenging, especially during the elementary school years. Our home felt chaotic, emotions ran high, and no amount of love or good intentions seemed to make things easier. Then we were referred to behavioral parent training, and everything changed. We learned practical, research-backed strategies that shifted our family dynamic from constant stress to a place of calm and connection.

The hardest part? It took us almost a year to get in with a good therapist. I remember thinking, Why did this take so long? Why wasn’t this support available sooner? That’s when I knew I wanted to help fill in that gap for other families.

Parent coaching isn’t therapy—we won’t dig into your past to uncover the whys—but we will focus on the present and future. Together, we’ll work on effective strategies to reduce conflict, foster connection, and create an environment where your child—and your whole family—can thrive.
